Burke United Methodist Church has an outstanding and active Sunday School program for children and adults. Please browse this page for the classes appropriate for your family. Children's Sunday School is offered throughout the school year.
NOTE: The information on this page is for school-year Sunday School. We are now holding our Summer Sunday School program.

Childcare for infants and toddlers from birth through three years is provided by paid, trained childcare workers and volunteers during 9:30 and 11 o'clock Sunday morning worship in Room 7. We have a pager system to notify parents if they are needed. Childcare is provided for most special services and activities.
9:30 am Sunday morning - Classrooms open at 9:20 am and classes end at 10:30 am. Parents/guardians must pick up their children. Please be prompt, the teachers appreciate it!
- Pre-K 2 year olds: meet in Room 6
- Pre-K 3 year olds: meet in Room 10
- Pre-K 4 year olds: meet in Room 5
11:00 am Sunday morning - Parents/guardians must pick up their children. Please be prompt, the teachers appreciate it!
- Pre-K 3 and 4 year olds (potty trained): meet in Room 5

9:30 am Sunday morning - Gather in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30. At 9:40 students will rotate between six different learning centers. Parents/guardians of K-5th grade students must pick up their children. Please be prompt, the teachers appreciate it!
- Grades K-5 meet in Fellowship Hall, then travel to classrooms:
Kindergarten - Room B5
Grade 1: Room B4
Grade 2: Room B6
Grade 3: Room B7
Grade 4: Room B10
Grade 5: Library
- Grade 6: Go directly to Room B11
11:00 am Sunday morning - Children in Worship. K-6th grade students attend worship with their parents. Following "Children's Time in Worship" students may follow teachers to Room 9 for a Bible story and activities.
5:30 LifeSign on Saturday night - We currently offer a "Church School" for children that meets during the message portion of the LifeSign service. In the spirit of a one-room-schoolhouse, children from Kindergarten through 6th grade study Bible stories and enjoy interactive materials and games.
9:30 am Sunday morning - For Pre-K and Elementary children with special needs who may find the regular classroom environment not always suitable, please come to the Rainbow Room Sunday School class in Room 10. Students will be mainstreamed or remain in the classroom for their Bible story and craft activities. Click here to download a registration form. JOY Class: The JOY adult class meets in rooms 1 & 2 at 9:30 for study. New study will be the Rob Bell Nooma series. Leaders are Mary Houck and Kathy Davidson.
The Word for Adults John 3: 16 is a new 12-week study by Max Lucado. One sentence, softly spoken nearly 2,000 years ago, is as relevant today as when Jesus first uttered it. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. Led by Todd & Marti Ringenbach, Sunday, 9:30 AM, Rm. B9.
Faith Parenting: Meets periodically.
New Member Class: These classes are offered periodically throughout the year. This three part series offers information and Christian fellowship for newcomers, seekers, and explorers. Topics include United Methodist history, What We Believe, Contemporary United Methodists, and more. Classes are led by pastors and meet Sundays at 11:00am in Room 1. Check the sign up sheet in the entry way or the current bulletin for the latest schedule.
