Care & Support
One of the most important things we want to offer one another is the assurance that we are not alone as we face life's trials. BUMC's ministries of care and support offer that assurance.

Stephen Ministry
Pastors will always be on the front lines of care, especially during times of crisis. But there are many more needs for ongoing, one-to-one care than pastors can effectively meet. Stephen Ministry provides trained lay people to support and extend the care that pastors provide. Stephen Ministers reach out with God's love and a listening ear to people who are experiencing all kinds of needs and circumstances, such as grief, divorce or other relationship issues, or personal crisis. This ministry is available to people in the community, as well as to those in our congregation. If you'd like to know more, contact Brenda Trask.

At our weekly DC4K meeting, kids make friends with other kids who understand what it feels like when parents get divorced. The group meets Wednesday nights, 7-9pm, during the same time as DivorceCare and Advanced Divorce Recovery.
