Ongoing needs:
Operation Food Bag
Donate canned fruit, juice boxes, canned or dried beans, crackers wrapped in individual sleeves, small jars of peanut butter or jelly, 1 lb. boxes of pasta or rice, canned meat, breakfast cereal. We also distribute disposable diapers and wipes.
Place items in the marked basket in the church entryway.
Hot Breakfast for the Homeless
Donate juice boxes, milk boxes, Nutri-Grain bars, fruit cups.
Place items in the marked bin in the mission area outside the Fellowship Hall.
Rising Hope Food Pantry and Kitchen
Donate rice, pasta, beans, canned meat, canned fruit, and large containers of ranch salad dressing, catsup, mustard, mayonnaise, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, and canned gravy.
Place items in the marked basket in the church entryway.
ECHO (Ecumenical Community Helping Others)
Donate vegetable oil, syrup, juice, laundry detergent, shaving cream, deodorant, pots and pans, queen-sized bedding, men's t-shirts (size small), toilet paper, paper towels. BUMC has collection bins for ECHO in the missions area near the Fellowship Hall for those who have small items to donate, and do not need a receipt.
If you have a large amount to donate, or if you would like a receipt, please take your items directly to ECHO, which is located at 7205 Old Keene Mill Road in Springfield. ECHO accepts donations weeksdays, 9:30AM-12:30PM, or 7:00-9:00PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
