Date TBA Leigh Anne Hinton Coloratura Soprano Soloist with Army Orchestra Bio: Leigh Ann Hinton, soprano, has performed as soloist around the country from Washington DC to California, most recently at venues including Avery Fisher Hall in New York City's Lincoln Center, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland, Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas, and DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Vocal Performance from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York where she worked with notable teachers and performers such as Elly Ameling, Carol Weber, Dr. David Parks, and members of The Bach Aria Group. She has also studied with Phyllis Curtin and Mary Mack. Leigh Ann has been a soloist at many performance venues and churches in the Washington D.C. area including the National Cathedral, performances with The Capitol Hill Chorale, The Choral Arts Society of Washington, DC, Mercersburg Community Chorus, and solo and ensemble recitals at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. Leigh Ann is currently the soprano soloist with The United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own", based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Band, she was a member of the United States Navy Band Sea Chanters Chorus. |
