Linda Brese, Organist
Linda Brese grew up in Ashland, Kentucky where she learned to play the piano and organ. As a teenager, she accompanied the children’s choirs and substituted as organist at her own church and other churches in town. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, she traveled as a Navy wife to South Carolina, Hawaii, Connecticut, and Virginia, teaching piano lessons and playing the organ in various churches.
She has been active in Burke Church since 1994, playing handbells, accompanying choirs, and singing in the Chancel Choir. In 2009 she earned the American Guild of Organists Service Playing Certificate.
She lives in Fairfax Station with her husband, Bob. Her son, Chris was married to Cassie in 2010, and son Rob is a sophomore at The Ohio State University.
