Clipboard alley has gone virtual! If you need assistance signing up on one of our iPads in the church lobby, please find a volunteer and they'll be happy to help you. We're so glad we get to continue to worship, learn, share, and care with you week after week!

  • Office Assistants: greet folks coming into the building and help with general office tasks

WORSHIP:
  • Worship Volunteers: sign up to serve as an usher, greeter, counter, and more​

  • Online Worship Greeters: help welcome people to our online worship service in the chat and drop some links throughout worship, all from the comfort of your own home

  • Children and Youth Music Groups: register children and youth for music at BUMC! For more info and a list of music groups, click here.

  • Altar Flower Donations: donate flowers for the altar for our weekly worship service

 
LEARN:

  • January 16 - The Church and Advocacy: ​​Should the church really talk about race?! Burke UMC's LEARN team will be providing an opportunity to hear about the history with racism and advocacy in The United Methodist Church as well as the role of the church in advocacy and what our calling is as Christians in bringing peace and healing in the Kingdom of God. There will be a presentation and chance for discussion! We hope you'll join us for this lively, important event this MLK weekend. 

  • Beginning January 23 - Broken Promises: Native American History & Theology. Facilitated by Rev. Judy Fender, this course will be comprised of overview to increase our understanding of the history and challenges facing native peoples in America. We will explore what should our response and responsibility be as people of faith in The United Methodist Church. Our class begins on January 23rd at 10:30am in Room 10. 

  • Beginning January 25 - Want To Talk? This is an eight week small group that will meet Wednesdays at 7 pm beginning on January 26 that offers wisdom for navigating disagreement in a healthier way, whether in personal relationships or when working for social change. This group will meet online and be led by Jane Wilson and Susan Kinsley. Register below!

  • Divorce Care: A friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.

  • BOGSAT: Bunch of Guys Sitting Around Talking - a drop in fellowship opportunity for me.

 
SHARE:
  • BurkeGivesBack Co-Op Volunteers: volunteer to help with the co-op on a food distribution day

  • Gleaning: sign up to help pick up food from a local grocery store for the co-op

  • MLK Weekend of Service: sign up to join in service/justice projects this MLK weekend.
