Youth Opportunities with BUMC
THE LIFE: YOUTH GROUP
Kicks off September 12
Our Youth Group is called "The Life" and meets weekly from 6-7:30 pm. The Life is for students in grades 7-12. Youth are always welcome to invite friends and neighbors!
You can scroll through the ministry areas below to see opportunities for youth to engage in discipleship through worshipping, sharing, caring, and learning. Each Sunday of The Life will focus on a different area of ministry.

The Journey (BUMC’s confirmation program) will begin on Monday, November 1! BUMC invites all students 7th -12th grades to participate in confirmation when they are ready and interested in being part of this deliberate time of faith preparation. Confirmation refers to the decision a person makes to respond to God’s grace with intentional commitment, publicly reaffirming their baptismal vows before the congregation and becoming members of the church. THE LIFE: Youth Group - Third Sundays
Third Sundays are focused around a LEARN activity! On September 19, we will begin the Seeking Justice devotion that we will continue throughout the school year. Amazon has this to say about Seeking Justice: “Seeking Justice will give you a biblical foundation for making a lasting, life-changing difference in this world. You’ll discover how God loves justice, and you’ll discover how you can honor God through involvement in social justice issues. You’ll also encounter stories from the life of author Brian Cress—director of student mobilization for International Justice Mission—and from the lives of other teenagers and people who’ve been rescued by IJM.”
There are many opportunities for youth to get involved with music this year!
