Capital Pride Parade

On June 8, UMC churches will be welcomed to participate in the Capital Pride parade. BUMC will join other Methodist churches in the Capital area to take part. This event is recommended for adults, and/or youth with parents' permission.

The parade begins at 3pm, please get there early. The step-off location will not be shared until the day before the parade, so please make sure you sign up in advance so we know you are coming!

• Use public transportation if possible.
• Wear lightweight, breathable clothing and comfortable/sturdy walking shoes (flips are not recommended).
• Wear a solid pride color T-shirt. No individual church signage or t-shirts are allowed.
• Bring a filled water bottle for use during the parade.
• Wear sunscreen and/or other UV protective gear
• Check the forecast the day of and bring weather-appropriate gear
