Infants Through Preschool Age

We are offering Popsicles on the Playground once again, sponsored by our Burke United Methodist Preschool! This is a chance for preschool age kids and parents to be in fellowship with each other. The remaining dates for this offering are August 7th and August 21st from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Meet up at the playground at the church for this event.

 

On Sunday mornings during our worship time, Infant through 3 year olds are welcome to participate in worship in either the main sanctuary or the Wiggle Room, located off to the right of the chancel area. 4 & 5 year olds can join Children’s Church for worship that is more age appropriate. If you are interested in participating in an adult Sunday School offering during the 10:30 hour, please be in touch with Shannon at childrenyouthdirector@burkeumc.org if we need to make arrangements for your preschooler at that time.

 

Rising K-4th grade​

On August 8th at 10:00am in the Discipleship Room downstairs, members of our Cards of Comfort ministry will meet with children to share about what our Cards of Comfort group does and give them a chance to make a card to share.

 

On Sunday mornings, our rising K-2nd grade can join Children’s Church for worship that is more age appropriate. Our rising 3rd and 4th graders are able to worship with their family and if they are interested in being an acolyte or reading a prayer during worship, please be in touch with Shannon so we can train them and schedule them! During the 10:30 hour, your students are invited to be a part of Summer Sunday School, where we will be learning Biblical lessons through the art of play.

Rising 5th and 6th Graders​

We were disappointed to not be able to do Camp Mission Edge this year, but we do have a few opportunities for our students to be in mission in their community:

On August 6th from 12:00-2:00 pm or August 8th from 5:00-7:00 pm, rising 5th and 6th graders are invited to help with our co-op. They can have the opportunity to meet our co-op members and help with one of many tasks as members come to shop for their meals.

 

Our rising 5th and 6th graders are invited to join our Cards of Comfort Ministry at any point throughout the summer. They meet on Wednesdays at 10:00-11:00 am.
