ELECTION RESOURCES FOR FAITH COMMUNITIES
We’re 100% Voting!

Virginia will be voting for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Virginia House of Delegates, and many local offices. This year's elections could be closer than ever, which means each vote will be magnified. Virginia’s Governor and state legislative elections are always consequential. Governors are responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. As state leaders, governors advance and pursue new and revised policies and programs using a variety of tools, among them executive orders, executive budgets, and legislative proposals and vetoes. In addition, the Delegates that represent you in Richmond get to decide what bills are introduced, and well as what laws and policies advance to the governor’s desk. The country is changing significantly, from economics and technology to culture and politics. The 2025 election is a fight to own the outcome of the latest realignment in American politics in Virginia

As people of faith, it is important that we vote our values, which is why our congregation has committed to being One Hundred Percent Voting, in collaboration with the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy.

We are blessed to live in a democracy where we can vote. As people of faith, we are called to use our blessings and the power we’ve been given to help our neighbors and make the world a better place. Voting is one way we do this.

Voting is one of the many opportunities we have to live into the teachings we learn in the Bible, such as the following guidance found in Isaiah 1: "learn to do good; seek justice; rescue the oppressed; defend the orphan; plead for the widow."
